Nibarger Halloween

Because there are not enough Halloween posts floating around the blog sphere, we thought we would add another one. Our Halloween was much like others that I have read about, except with the cutest little black kitty cat ever.

Kyla loved dressing up as a kitty cat, until she saw other little girls dressed up as princesses, then she wanted to be a princess. I told her next year she can be a princess. Kitty cat sufficed for this year.
Her favorite part was her pink nose and whiskers. She walked around the house with a mirror so she could see them.
Here we are pre-trunk or treat. Baby brother got to be a pumpkin.
After going around to all the trunks, she had to check out her stash.
We found her best friend from next door with an adorable home made turtle costume.
Jacob had to work for the trunk-or-treat, but he was home for trick-or-treating on Monday.
Nibarger family on Halloween. A black cat, a pumpkin, a male nurse (clever right?) and a bumblebee.
Here is the progression of these pictures. We told Kyla to smile and she frowned:
Then I told her to frown and we smiled:
And finally we got one with everyone smiling. Also, please excuse how tired and fat I look. I really did shower and put make up on and stuff, I'm just 9 months pregnant and look it.
We had intentions to go to all the streets in our ward, which is four. We got to 2 before the kids (Kyla and the neighbor friend) tired out. 40 minutes into trick-or-treating, Kyla said she was done. We convinced her to go down one more street (mostly so we could get home down that street). At the end of that street, she turned to her Daddy (who was carrying her by now), and said, "I'm done. I'm so hungry!"
Toddler translation: "I want to go home and eat some of this candy I got!"
Lucky for Kyla, she has an aunt and an uncle who helped her go through and sort the candy into appropriate piles, just like we used to do after trick-or-treating.
All and all, it was a very fun Halloween with great weather and great candy!
