needing to catch up

Wow has it really been three weeks since I last posted? The newborn/toddler combination in our house is apparently very time consuming.

This past weekend was spent on a spur of the moment trip to Wyoming and Montana because Jacob's grandmother died and we decided to take the trip up to the funeral. It was a really amazing weekend, which will be described in a later post. For now, this "Kyla speech" is just going to have to suffice.

Kyla wanted to ride on a statue of a brass elephant we saw on our trip. I told her, "It's a little too big to put you on it. I wouldn't be able to reach up that high."

She replied with, "Daddy can do it, he is bigger than you."

On the drive home, she brought up riding on an elephant again.

She says: "Daddy, can I ride on an elephant?"

Daddy: "I don't know, maybe."

Kyla turns to me and says, "Daddy said yes!!!"
